Savage 99 value
I'm looking at a Savage model 99 Brush gun in 358 cal.. This gun is in at least 99% shape. All case coloring on lever parts and bolt has absolutely no scratches on it. If it had the original box the person could probably say N.I.B. and it would be hard to say otherwise. I'm thinking about buying it but want to know approximately what it's worth. Thanks for any reply's!

I recently acquired an old Savage 99 in 300 Sav.caliber with the window cartridge counter in the receiver.I would probably rate it as 85% to 90% and was wondering about the approximate value of this rifle, thanks in advance of your answers,Bob. 0 -
Hello Buck, to answer your ?? Ineed to know if there is a letter sufix on the gun it will be on bolt side of reciever on the bbl. or it will be on left side of reciever where it says model 99. if there isent one then email me the serial # so we can try to determine the make of 99 your looking at. Around here (mid missouri) the prices would run between 450.00/550.00 for that cal in that condition. hope this helps.

Savage called their last issued 358 caliber Model 99 a "Brush-Gun". It should have a straight grip stock, top tang safety and recoil pad. Was made from 1977 to 1980. No checkering on the wood. Blue Book list these at $495. for NIB; however, they will often bring more just because of the caliber. Savage also produced this gun in 375 Winchester caliber for 1980 only and the price on this particular rifle runs up close to $750. You have a desirable rifle there. 0 -

I'm also looking for a savage model 99 in the 358cal.if anyone has one for sale please let me know 0 -
I have a 99 A in 375 new in the box,I seem to see these and the 358 on the auction sites going $900. and up 0 -
Sorry, but the Blue Book is simply no where near what 99's are going for. Shooter's in good condition run in the $350-450 range and one in top shape can easily get to $900 if it is not one of the most common calibers. If it is genuinely a 99% rifle, $750 minimum.
the Captn. allows no buying, selling or offers on the board guys.
