Call Glock at 1-866-225-4098 and they will tell you if your pistol is one with the problem. skoletar@hotmail.com

Glocktalk.com has several threads dedicated to this subject. As a Glock armorer, I will tell you not to loose a lot of sleep worrying about your G23 being recalled. Only a few were effected and Glock is taking care of them. My agency purchased several thousand and only a handfull were effected. Learn to control the trigger on your Glock, especially the "trigger reset" and you should be happy you switched to the G23.

Im not quite sure I know what you mean by "trigger rest: however I was shown the practice of keeping my trigger finger off of the trigger gaurd and up where the slide meets the frame. One thing is for sure the 23 sure feels more balanced and comfortable in the hand than the Sigma 40VE

    Thanks for the responses

    P.S.
Any suggestions on add-ons to make? Is the Glock like the 1911 when it comes to changing out parts? Already got nightsights [:)]

Maxi.... Trigger reset is after a shot is fired, you only allow the trigger forward far enough to feel the click of the trigger resetting, rather than all the way forward like many shooters do. This speeds up time between shots, and does not disrupt your sight picture as much as the other method.
When you were taught keeping your finger along the side of the frame until ready to shoot , that is a safety measure, completely different from trigger reset.
