    Many, if not most, companies state that reloads will void the warranty. If factory ammo blows up in your gun, they can hold the ammo manufacturer to make good on the gun and any possible other liabilities. This is not possible with reloads.

    FWIW, if you are careful with your reloads, there should be no problems. But you can't expect the manufacturer to deal with reload based reliablity issues. These include feeding, firing and ejection ones especially as it relates to some bullet shapes and cases that should have been discarded.

    I shoot nothing but reloads in my Kimber and there has never been a problem. Just be careful who you get your reloads from! Learn how to reload and make your own, it will be very satisfying and will save you lots of money!

    Yep, it's a CYA thing. I shoot nothing but reloads in all my firearms and have no trouble. It's not really a cost thing though. It's for better accuracy.
