Dilema...help...which 308 to keep
I have two 308's both stainless: A) Ruger M77, Lam stock 308, 22" barrel
Rem 700, synthetic, DBM, 24". Both are mint and Rem is a discontinued model. Which one should I keep? Which one should I sell?
If I was in my right mind I'd keep'em both..and I want to...help...

It's Christmas and I'm in a giving mood, so I'll help you solve your problem. Sell the Remington. To me. For $50.
There, that wasn't so hard, was it?
It's the least I could do.
No literally, the least I could do.[}:)]0 -
Now that I've tweaked you a little bit, I'll give you my real opinion. It's a crappy decision you're trying to make, because selling a gun is almost like giving away a kid.
Anyway, sell the Ruger. It's a nice rifle, but you might never get your hands on that Remington again.
If you're still in doubt, flip a coin. Don't let it land. As it's spinning in the air, ask yourself how you hope it will land. That's your answer.
For what it's worth. Merry Christmas.0 -
Well, RIFLEMAN 308, my gut feeling is in alignment with your thoughts...kid is packing as I compose this....both are staying, any idea's on a gift for each rifle..now that the kid is gone......[:D] 0 -
Keep the Remington. Don't understand the connection between "the Kid" and the guns. 0 -

In the words of the great Ricky Ricardo, let me "splain":
If truly loved and cherished, a gun can be like a family member. I fondly remember the days of my youth, laughing and frolicking in warm auburn fields, just me and my guns.
I'll never forget the first time a gun brought me my slippers as I sat staring at the fire, and then gently caressed my cheek before bidding me good night.
Or the one time during the holidays, on a day much like today, when a gun first told me it loved me.
Ah, guns. Parting with one is almost unbearable.
(WHAT, like YOUR guns have never talked to you?!)[;)]0 -
NO, BUT AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT DAY. 0 -
keep the one that shoots the best for you!! 0 -

Keep them both unless you need the money. If you have to sell one, like said before keep the one that shoots best. I like the Ruger my self. I always like wood over synthetic. 0
