I have a Ithaca M-49 .22 caliber saddlegun. I was just curious what the value of it is. It is in excellent condition. I hope someone can help.

Hello and welcome to the board! I hope that you will find this to be as comfortable and informative a place for all things firearm as I have. I have warm memories of gun related activities shared with my male relatives (about half of which are passed away now) and you have just reminded me of my first rifle, given to me by my older brother some 30+ years ago. It was a brand new M49 Ithaca .22 lever action. I remember being thrilled to have a gun of my own. Even at that time, I knew how important it was for my brother to do this for me because he had very limited funds, but chose to spend them this way. Later on, I handed it down to my 9 yrs younger brother when he was ready for it. If you found your rifle cheap at a garage sale, it's worth about $150. If you came into it like I did, it can be invaluable. 0 -
I snatched the one I bought for my grandson up for $75.00. It looks like new. but the frt sight is missing. I am takeing it to a local gunsmith to have one put on. I have seen them for $175.00 though.

Diito on $150. These are neat little guns. I actually found mine along a snowmobile track. I used a near identical gun made by Agawam Arms throughout my early teens. It accounted for thousands of gophers and many a rabbit and skunk. 0 -
