First year Glock model 17
I called Glock for tech INFO. I own a model 17 which the glock people
said was one of the first 1000 guns in the country.The Glock person
said it had a value of $800.00 as a collector gun. I have check with
several gun stores and they all say the same thing. They don't know
about a collector market. The gun is in good shape with orignal box.
Can anyone give me an idea of what this gun might be worth? Thanks

According to data I've seen the first 1000 Glock G 17's imported for sale in this country (1/86), were in the serial number range AF000US to AF999US. If your Glock's S.N. falls in this range contact the Glock Collectors Association, I'm sure they will be more than happy to help you valueing your pistol.

Im surprised they didn't volunteer the freebe safety updates. Maybe you have to ask for them, I did and got a bunch of parts. 0 -
It may be that the gun is actually worth more "all-original." Some collectibles are.
