It is one of the Chinese versions of the tokarev pistol. They offered them in both 7.62x25 and 9mm. In the 9mm they sometimes used a reduced magazine with a spacer in the frame. At other times they put a spacer in the magazine itself to prevent accidently loading the 7.62 ammo in the gun. Either way they are an all steel version of the tokarev pistol. Grip options included the standard thin grip and occassionally the larger Tokaregypt type grip. It filled the hand a bit more. The framing remained the same. At one point a double stack version of the gun was offered as well.
I keep the magazines in stock for the various models. They are an acceptable gun for the money. I wouldn't compare them to a Sig, Glock, Beretta, etc., but for the price, they aren't bad.
BTW disassembly is much like a Colt, with first having to slide back the slide stop retainer found on the right side of the frame. Basic proceedures from there with the barrel bushing turning 180 degrees for removal. The small button in the recoil spring can be a bit of a trick to position on re-assembly, but otherwise it is pretty straight forward. LRARMSX@MCHSI.COM0
