M-1 carbine year?
i have an M-1 carbine that has inland mfg. div. general motors 9-43 stamped into the barrel. can anyone tell me anything about this gun?

It was made in Sept. of 1943. And could be worth anywhere from $400.00 on up. Depending on condition. It is an excelent gun. Enjoy it.

If it has 9-43 on the barrel, I would say it was made in Sept of 1943 rather than 1944.
I have two Inland Div carbines, and they are excellent WWII guns. Inland was a division of General Motors, and made a lot of carbines during WWII. In good cond it would bring $400.00 to $600.00. In mint cond probably $800.00 plus.

Suggest you use SN on frame to determine Mfg Date rather than bbl date. Many people can tell you year and run. Inland was a major mfg and one of the best quality wise. An "expert" can determine if all parts are correct to this carbine based on markings. 0
