T/C Encore Rifle

I just bought an Encore rifle and I was wondering if it could be made into a pistol by buying the barrel, grip, forend, etc.

What is the general opinion of this gun in the Pro-Hunter, reliability, warranty, and mostly accuracy?? THX HAWKSHAW

Yes you can,it is similar to the contender except it is built heavier and will shoot the magnum calibers.I own a contender and the Encore is on my wish list.

According to the Feds you can not make the Encore into a handgun if it was purchased as a long gun. You can buy a Handgun and convert it ti a Rifle, shotgun or muzzleloader though.

XP100--What is the world coming to?That is interesting.If someone bought a Encore rifle,made it into a pistol and then sold the pistol
to someone else,then both parties are breaking the law.This is way too complicated for me to understand,but thanks for the info.If I gave the wrong info then I am sorry,Freedom Casull.

I think there is a way to (re)register the frame as a pistol but it might be easier and cheaper to trade a dealer your frame for one registered as a pistol. I'm still unclear as to whether that is a Federal regulation or one specific to certain states. Maybe someone can clear that up as I've heard both versions.
