German rifle scope info?

Anyone familiar with a scope marked "Pecar-Berlin"? I saw one mounted on a Sako chambered in .300 H&H that had been brought back from Europe by a GI and I'm not familiar with it.

Any idea where I could find out info on their different types?

  Pecar is actually an importers trade name for the Koehler brand of scopes which were made in Germany and imported into the USA starting in the early 1950's and ending in around 1960. Some models used alloy tubes and others were made of steel and a wide range of magnifications were available, both fixed and variable. One of the more unusual features was the ability of some models to use interchangable reticals- very nice for those who prefer something other than the traditional American cross-hairs. These Koehler's were excellent scopes but are not widely known apprecaited over here in the United States.
  
  These scopes have been discontinued for so long I really have no idea where you could find additional information, unless someone had some old catalogs sitting around, or there is some website out there- seems like there is a site for EVERYTHING. I am afraid I've told you all I know, I hope this helps you.

  Excellent product.
  As mark said, not well known here. But knowledgeable Europeans know Pecar.
  Have more info, but need scope specs.
