Measuring groups?

How do you measure groups, do you go from outside,middle or inside the holes. Three shot groups if that matters.

  Lets say you have group that strings left to right.Measure from the left side of the fartherest hole to the left side of nearest hole.Otherwise stay on the same side of the holes for size of group.

  Center to center (of the 2 holes furthest apart) is proper. Inside to inside plus 1 bullet diameter or outside to outside minus 1 bullet diameter will yeild the same number.

  Spread out groups= outside to inside of the two farthest apart.
  
  One ragged hole groups=measure the widest part and subtract the bullet diameter.
  
  I'm a man,....but I can change,.....If I have to,......I guess.
