Walther PP - the "full size" version. Appox 1/2" longer slide/barrel and 1/2" longer grip than PPK

PPK/S - Slide & Barrel of PPK; Grip of PP. Put together for GCA requirements.

Note that now there is the PPK/S-1. Made by Smith & Wesson under license from Walther, it is the PPK/S with a longer beavertail and a new safety. Not just a hammer block anymore; now also has a firing pin block.

The S version carries an extra round for its larger size.

The weight difference is due to the absence of a steel backstrap in the PPK and in the higher PP frame, magazine and grips over the shorter PPK frame. There is also a weight increase for stainless steel since it contains the heavier elements of chromium and nickel.
