Wanted Springfield M1A info
I am trying to find out some info on a Springfield M1A rifle. I know of one for sale. But, would like to know how to tell the difference between a standard or nm grade[:)] rifle. Also, anything to really check on the rifle out of the ordinary. It is also suppose to be a preban and the # is A0038xx. I would appreciate any info on this. Thanks and Happy Holidays.

The NM will have a welded gas cylinder and probably a medium weight barrel with NM sights.

They are probably the best equipt when it comes to M1A Rifles. In my opinion just start out with a base model with a nice walnut stock. Believe me it will shoot excellent. I have a standard model that I can't outshoot. One day when I get to the point where I need it, I will then send it to Fulton Armory to have the NM upgrades done custom to my specs. Or I might have a custom one built on a double lug entreprise reciever.0
