blueing or blacking a SS barrel?
I have three Remington 700's that are blued or blacked from remington that have some light spots on the barrel and would like to touch them up,is there a way to do this or do I need to have the barrels redone completely?

Go and get some Blue Wonder gun blue works real good.The BLACK you refer to I'm guessing is Parkerized there is a kit for that to. 0 -
I believe IIarena said these were SS barrels..I don't think Blue Wonder or Parkerizing works on SS (?? Stainless Steel??)..If those won't work, I have a colleague that can "blue" (blacken) Stainless steel. It does require disassembly and tank immersion of the parts involved... snake803@juno.com 0 -

You were correct, The barrels are stainless steel and I can not find any chemical that will even touch the light spots. 0 -
