Shotgun Top Folding Stock
I would like to know what you guys feel is the best top folder stock for the Mossberg 500 shotgun? I am am looking for one that is durable, practical, dependable, and easy on the shooter.
This will be going on a home defense gun.
Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.

The second most useless thing in the world is a shotgun with a folding stock. The most useless is one with just a pistol grip. 0 -
Look at the Advanced tech. folding stock i have 1 on a 500 and it works wonderful. www.clipsnstuff.com has them 0 -
I wouldn't recomned a top folder for the 500. Since the safty is on top, the stock will actualy cover the safty. I have a side folder in mine, works just fine folded or not. 0 -
Thats right 1022man I forgot all about that. Was thinking of my 870 when i posted that. 0 -
www.CheaperThanDirt.com has both top and side folders by Advanced Tech. I went with the side folder on my 500 and no regrets. 0 -
sunray.... Actually folders are very useful. We care Remington Marine Magnum 870's with top folders on our police motors. It is very difficult to carry a full stock shotgun on a motorcycle.
For civilian use the are useful for carry on ATV's0 -
Does anyone have experience with or know about the Knoxx COPStock top folder?
Thanks for all the input.
Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.0 -
Laredo Lefty:
Great weapon, useful around saltwater. A folding stock also makes it easier to store on the boat.
Close to God, far away from everyone else.0 -
Go with the Butler Creek side-folder. A little harder to find but a lot stronger than the ATI stocks. 0
