Carry Gun opinions
For those that carry on a regular basis, I'd appreciate serious opinions.
I've been a Ruger fanatic forever. Still sold on the dependability but then there's the bulk. Truth is, I've always made excuses for them. At 6'4" and 210 it's never been a real problem.
I've owned two KP-95 DC's since the late 90's, now also have a pair of the 97's in 45.
Now I've got the urge to try the new.
What's the straight skinny on the SERIOUS differences between the Glock 36 and the Sig P220/P220 Sport-other than weight and price.
And, is there a better option?

I carry a Glock 26- very slim and light. You like a heavier caliber, so the Glock 36 is a great choice.
You need not worry about jams or function as tests show they are near 100%. The accuracy is fantastic!0 -

Depending on the weather, I carry a GLOCK 27 on the hot days and a GLOCK 21 on cold days. The jacket I wear conceals the 21.
I've had the opportunity to carry virtually every hand gun on the market. Well... alot of them, anyway. The one I kept coming back to were the GLOCKS. The reliability was 100%. The light weight combined with the 10 round mags and fire-power of a .40 or .45 cal. dependable handgun is an unbeatable combination. Go with the best, Go GLOCK.

Its almost toss a coin IMHO both are great guns,but the Sig is a little more expensive.Good Luck

My sons & I all use Ruger P97 for home & property defense, accurate never fail with any ammo. For carry, Glock .45 or Millenium 9mm. 0 -
Glock 23, or Kel-tec P-40. Some say the Kel-tecs are cheap and undependable, but I disagree 110%. I have had one FTE, because of a limp wrist, in almost 1000 rds. I now carry the P-40 almost exclusively with Federal Hydra's, 165gr.HP. 0 -
My primary carry weapon is an Imez Makarov .380. It is an inexpensive handgun ($150-$200), but the dependability is extraordinary. It is extremely durable, and equally accurate. Plus, the small size helps to make it a weapon that is easy and comfortable to carry, and it packs one hell of a punch.

We're still on the back burner for concealed carry in Illinois, but I sometimes holster up a Glock 30 (.45) at home. Lots of power in a small comfortable package. I can also recommend a SIG P220ST. It's full size and quite accurate. You have to like the feel of whatever gun you shoot--no matter how much you like a gun's features, it's still gotta fit you.

There was a test by a police department a little while back on a variety of handguns, shot lots of rounds through each one. The Sig came out on top. Anyone have the reference to that?

Thanks fellas, I've tried to mail a couple of you through the site here this morning - but nothings going through.
Looks like I'll be checking out a couple of the Glocks. Don't like the extra cost of the Sigs, but still curious. I have a nephew here that's a Texas Ranger, he and most of his buddies are carrying the Sig P220 in 45.

Pickenup]that was the Ohio Highway Patrol.I have the results of all guns tested in my PC.They tested alot of guns before they chose the Sig P-229 .40 auto.
