There are two 25/20 cartridges. Is your 25/20 a 25/20 wcf (winchester center fire)or a 25/20SS (single shot). 25/20 wcf, yes, it is coomnoly available. The single shot is a reload only proposition if you can find brass.

The "Old Western Scrounger" in Yreka, California can get you the ammo.
Prices are not inexpensive. Make sure of the caliber and have the arm checked out by a "smith". I realize that this is a low velocity round,
    just be careful! 101

    rotax, welcome to the board!

As woods noted, there were two distinctly different .25-20 cartridges. The more common, the .25-20 Winchester Centerfire (aka .25 WCF) shares the head design and case length of the .32-20. It was introduced with the M1892 and has enjoyed limited popularity over the years as a mediocre varmint / plinking round, principally in lever actions. This version is still available from the major makers, although it is not something you find stocked at Walmart.

The other is the .25-20 Single Shot. It is a much longer case and has not been made for years. Original ammo typically fetches $1 - $2 a round. I believe that OWS includes this as part of the Bertram (Australian) line they carry. It will not be cheap, as 101 noted. I've never been terribly impressed with Bertram's quality nor OWS pricing, but when it's the only option . . . .
