winchester pre 64?

I have recently acquired a winchester model 94 cal 30-30 that is supposed to be a pre-64. The serial # is 2805255 and the receiver will attract a magnet. How can I tell for sure?

  Boog, if you got the serial number right, it was made in 1965.

  The ending serial no. for pre 64 on the 94's was 2,700,000

  Last serial no. for 1964 was 2797428.Also pre 64 would have a screw on the bottom of the receiver.This screw was eliminated starting in 65.It was brought back later in production(not sure what year)but would be absent on a rifle made in 65.Model 94's made from 1965-1968 were the poorest quality 94's ever made.
