thompson contender scope in original box

A while back I picked up a Thompson Contender scope in the original box with all the paper work,the scope is still in the plastic bag. The box in big letters on the front sez TC 3R ecoil P ROOF . Instructions say LOBO & RECOIL proof handgun scopes. Eye relif 11"-20" Feild of view at 100 yds-13feet lenght 8 3/4 weight 5.4 oz. Thier is no bar code on the box and bar codes I believe came in around 1980. My question is what does LOBO proof mean? And what is this scope worth? If your into TC stuff it looks like it could be a nice collectible. I believe Lobo is the model, recoil proof means you can use it with magnum caibers. 0 -
When you buy a Thompson product new or used it's warranty is for life.
