How do I ship air pistol?
Hi,
I'm a newbie and I have a Beeman air pistol that I would like to sell. What do I need to do to ship it legally? I know that I need to verify the purchaser's age but it doesn't appear that a FFL license is needed on either end (I don't have one). What is the best shippng method for this? I'm thinking UPS?
Thanks in advance!

You can ship it any way you want. There are some states where it is prohibited, I guess if I were you, I would check. If you are going to do things, you might as well stay within the laws. No FFL is needed. 0 -
Oh yes, welcome to GB! 0 -
Under Postal Regulations it would be considered a firearm, this, despite the fact that the BATF would classify it otherwise. If it is able to be concealed on the person, and it is able to fire a projectile, no matter how (i.e., gas, spring or explosive), you cannot ship it via USPS without a license.
Your best bet in this situation is UPS.

All good advice above.
In order to find out if the air pistol is legal in the buyer's city and state, check State Laws and Published Ordinances - Firearms (ATF P5300.5). Any gun shop will have a copy, or you can download it from the www.atf.treas.gov website.
