M-1 Carbine
I know this is scant info, but can anyone give me an idea of what an M-1 carbine made in Saginaw in about 80% condition would be worth assuming all the numbers match? Were any of the reproductions made in Saginaw? Again sketchy info, but would like to know before I go to pains to track this down.....

I cant answer your question,but I bought the same gun last week.Its a great plinker.My only complaint was it had a 16oz tube of grease on it.I nearly never got it off.

If money is not an issue why pile it into a recent commercial clone rather than a original. I mean, if your are going to make it perfect anyway why not make it an investment too? Not critical just curious. 0 -

I disagree with DJAbby. If you are going to modify a military rifle into some kind of a show gun (a Carbine does not come to mind when thinking of "show guns," but to each his or her own), please do not modify a old veteran of WWII and thereby remove another rifle that gave honorable service from the ranks.
I assume you are aware that the gun will be worth less than it is now once all this work is done, unless you find the one other person with similar tastes as yours that is willing to pay a premium for the modifications you plan to make.0 -
