We have the 2", black, rubber grip version for home defense, and we like it a lot. My wife even feels copmfortable firing it (and that was important for us). Good fit and feel, workmanship a good value for the price.

Have you considered the Ruger GP-100? Ruger makes very reliable stuff at quite reasonable prices---and, speaking from personal experience, very good out-of-the-box accuracy.

My wife and I like the Taurus M66 for our PD weapons. Each has a 7-shot cylinder w/4" ported barrel. Accurate and reliable!

Thanks everyone, I bought the EAA for $230 today. I was in the gun store and a couple of guys said that they liked theirs plus your posts helped me decide. I was going to get the GP100 earlier but it was over $400.

I would like to add one thing.German workers take pride in their work, and they use top notch metal.EAA is really good about standing behind the firearms they import.

    Have Fun!!
