Smith & Wesson .45 ACP Value??
I am looking at purchasing a used S&W 45, Completely stainless pistol from a friend. No marks or dings. It is in mint condition. Comes with an Uncle Mikes paddle holster, extra mag, and a box of Federal Hydra Shok rounds. He is asking $500.00 for it. It is about 4 years old and has little use. Local gunsmith verified the barrel is in great condidtion as is the weapon itself. Is 5 bills worth it? It is a full size 1911 also.

It would have been helpful if you had given us the model number, as S&W has made several models in .45; the model number is always stamped on the frame.
I think that the "full size 1911" remark means that it is "full size", as opposed to "compact". S&W has never made (at least, not yet) a gun based on John Browning's M1911 design.
I would expect a used S&W .45 to sell in the $300-400 range. KY Imports is currently advertising very good S&W Model 4586's in the Gun List for $319.99.
Used holsters generally have no resale value.

SW model 945, comes from the performance center and is a full size 1911. Great gun also, shoots as well as or better than my Kimber's or Colt's. High priced tho. 0 -
The 945 isn't a fully compatible 1911 although very nice indeed. What were they thinking?

I have a model 645 that is roughly booked at $350 - 400.00 full stainless model...
