duv42 mod 98 mauser

I just bought a mauser with all the nazi proofs most of the numbers match including the stock.Iwas wondering about the round disc with a hole in it at the rear of the stock.This mauser does not have one,why not?

  The disc is meant to help take apart the firing pin, and I believe for stacking purposes and locking. Some of mine have them some don't.

  The Disc with the Hole is for compressing the FIRING PIN SPRING, so you can take the Firing Pin apart for cleaning or replacement...

  Respectfully, CK, Patrick called out a duv 42. However, its a mox nixer, since duv is another code for the same manufacturer.
