Colt "Commemorative" single action .22's are generally found in New In the Box condition. Most folks with these guns bought them to "keep." This means a large supply of New or nearly New guns and few, if any, that are "shooters." This has kept the prices of these very stable over the years. Even though a few of them have appreciated a great deal, (very few), most of these guns are valued at the same prices. There is some price flunctuation according to areas, like this gun might be better sold in the Utah area of the Golden Spike, while a Nebraska Centennial would go for a little more in Nebraska in some cases.
The Blue Book of Gun Values, which is a "Guide" used by most Gun Dealers/Collectors to arrive at a "starting price" lists this gun as follows: There was about 11,000 of them made in 1969, and they sold for $135.00 each at that time. If it is now still in 100% condition, with its original box, paperwork, presentation case, unfired, with no marks, dings, rubs, etc., and etc., the book quotes a price of $475.00 for this gun. It may be more or less in your particular area and what you can sell it for might be quite different from this. A Collector looking for this particular gun may pay more or less. Hope this helps!
