Leatherwood scoopes

Good Bad or Ugly just curious. I seen there auto rangeing scoopes on that swfa.com but really looking at a red dot for a muzzleloader


Edit: the rangeing scope would be for either my deer rifle or varmit rifle not sure which. Either rifle is real high quality. I just have a varmit rifle becuase a friend gave me a 22-250 and i bought a 25-06.

  Leatherwood ART's were 1st generation range finding scopes. Be a waste of money on a muzzleloader, if that's your intention. Depending on the flavour of muzzle loader, so is a red dot. The dot covers too much of the target at 100 or so yards.
  If it's one of the new in-line muzzle loaders, put a low magnification scope with the reticle you like best on it. You don't get enough effective range to bother with a high magnification scope. 4X or less will do.
