What does the term ACP mean ? What is your opinoun of the 8 or 7mm mauser for a deer gun.Does the caliber of either one compare to a 3006? Do these guns have enough punch to take down a moose or elk?

  acp is...automatic colt pistol....both the 7 & 8 mauser will quickly stop deer within responsible hunting ranges. the 8mm mauser is closer ballistically to the 30-06 than the 7. either will kill moose or elk, the 8 giving you more margin of error.
