JC Higgins .22 & and value on others,

    J.C. Higgins are not really collectable, so the value is as a shooter. The Higgins models always sell for less than the underlying model with manufacturers name, such as High Standard, Stevens, Winchester etc. That said, as shooters they are often great guns. $75 is probably not a bad price depending upon condition. I have a model 30 that was a great first gun when I was 13 and still shoots as well as I can 40+ years later.

    Can't help with the Colt, I think that might be a bit high for the 9422. I may be wrong, but I paid $200 for a new 94 in .30-30 not many years ago.

    Should have said the J.C. Higgins was a brand name sold by Sears. Different models made by different manufacturers with the Higgins or Sears name.
