JC Higgins .22 & and value on others,
Also theres a Winchester Model 9422 lever action .22, assuming nice condition is $275 to much to pay, and a Colt Buntline revolver 9.5" barrel .22 cal is $250 to much, they want 75 for the J.C. Higgens
My little brother wants a 22 for christmas and kinda of curious if the lever action was worth getting and might want the pistol for myself
Edit well searched the net on new Winchesters and they say 465-521 for the new ones not sure what version the guy has. Can't use the blue book I found want money to veiw the guns I looking at. But couldnt' find anything on the JC might have to call the guy and look. I am not a collector just a shooter myself. And thanks for the replies.

J.C. Higgins are not really collectable, so the value is as a shooter. The Higgins models always sell for less than the underlying model with manufacturers name, such as High Standard, Stevens, Winchester etc. That said, as shooters they are often great guns. $75 is probably not a bad price depending upon condition. I have a model 30 that was a great first gun when I was 13 and still shoots as well as I can 40+ years later.
Can't help with the Colt, I think that might be a bit high for the 9422. I may be wrong, but I paid $200 for a new 94 in .30-30 not many years ago.
Should have said the J.C. Higgins was a brand name sold by Sears. Different models made by different manufacturers with the Higgins or Sears name.
