I need the Blue Book Value on a Winchester Model 70 XTR Featherweight Winlite in 25-06.Gun is in excellent condition with only 20 rounds ( at the bench ) fired. Gun has never been in the field. 0 -
When you say antique model, are you referring to the model 94? Model 94's from the 80's are not much in demand. My guess without seeing it, it's worth about $200 tops as new, maybe more if it's the XTR or other model other than standard. I just sold an immacualte 94 XTR for $250 last month, right before Deer season. If it were right before Dove season, I would have been lucky to get $175-$200. 0 -
RBALLI is correct......Only demand is for a Hunting Rifle...and deffinately not an Antique or collectors Piece......

GT58, use blue book as a guide, it is not chiseled in stone. Other factors influence price, i.e. Local - not a lot of call for big bear class guns in the deep south. Current craze - remember what happened to S&W mod 29 prices after Dirty Harry hit the screen. Scare factor - spread the word that somethng is fixing to be banned or in short supply and everybody wants it. Add to these the old reliable - supply and demand.
There are guns listed that I wish I could buy at the prices given and there are some I wish I could sell at the prices given.
Give ya a tip on finding value: take about 4 good digital pictures and list it on GB. Start it at a dollar with a reserve so high you would be thrilled to sell it at that price, say 3 times blue book (you won't get it). By the time the auction ends you can take the high bid and add about 20/25% and have a pretty good idea of what top dollar would be.

Welcome gt58, I'm a new member myself. My suggestion is, if you are buying it, pay between $150.00 and $250.00. If you already have it, keep it. I love mine!
It's a Texas thang, ya'll wouldn't understand!0
