tfc, I've not loaded this caliber, but from experience with other exotics mumble years ago when I had a custom loading business, I can assure you the hard part will be obtaining components. Without researching it, I suspect the brass can be formed from some version of 'basic' brass produced by BELL or others. RCBS will create dies if they don't have them already. NEI moulds will make darn near anything you ask for (I'm presuming you don't want to get into making a paper patched bullet, but that can be done - PITA!!). The downside is big bucks for tools and high component cost for the brass, but it certainly can be done if you can get the brass.

you can make it from 43 mauser but you might have extraction problems as the 43 mauser rim is slightly smaller , it will extract in some guns and not in others , if you can obtain a oversize extractor for the rollingblock you should be o.k. , yes it can be loaded with modern powder

Thanks for the help. This project is still in the planning stage.

I can help if you are needing bullet mould(s) for this caliber (.446"). It seems that my Rolling Block .44-90 Rem Spl is a hybrid, using the .43 Spanish bore and chambered for the .44-90; consequently, the bullets are too large for me to use. Emery

Thanks Kid for the offer. I'll keep you in mind. From the little bit of research I've done, the dies are quite expensive. I'm continuing to look in to the project.
