In going through my Mother-in-Law's things after she died, I came across 2 small handguns. One is a "Baby Hammerless" 6 shot revolver with a 1" barrel. This is a very small handgun. The other is a Beretta with the following info on the side.

Pistola Aut.-Beretta 6.35 Brev. 1919 serial number 137157.

There is a very small stamping after the 1919, that looks like some kind of mark the factory used. It looks to be a small Crown. The info above is exactly as it is on the side of the gun.

The Baby Hammerless has the following markings on the top of the gun

Pat. Feb 2 92-Feb 4 92 "Baby Hammerless"

The side has a "K" between the grip and the body of the gun.

I know that my Father-in-Law was a hunter all his life. From the looks of it, these guns have not been used in at least 30 years. Both are in very good condition, no rust, and both seem to work.

Is there a way to get more info as to the value of these guns? I requested a manual from Beretta and hope to see it within the next few weeks.

Any information that you can provide would be helpful.

  the baby hammerless revolvers were manufactured by at least three different manufacturers from 1896 until 1938:
  columbian firearms mfg.1896
  henry kolb 1897
  r.k. sedgely 1916
  the k on the grip usually indicates henry kolb manufacture.
  it is chambered for the .22 rimfire short cartridge.
  
  there are quite a few different models and variation of the baby hammerless and all of them are considered collectable. values vary from as low as $50 in poor shape to as much as $400 for one of the rarer variations in exc. condition.
  
  if you are wanting a value to sell or for insurance this is a case where you should take the revolver to a qualitified person. look in the yellow page of the laargest town near you for a firearms dealer that specializes in collectable firearms and they should be able to help.

  Your Beretta Model 1919 .25 Automatic, was the second of the .25 automatics produced by Beretta. It was manufactured between 1920 & 1935. After it was discontinued in 1935 an improved? version was brought out. Many thousands of these various Beretta .25's were produced over the years. Since you have one of the earlier models, there might be some collector interest in it?
