odd bayonet
I have what looks to be a bayo. w/scabb. & belt attch. It is about 19" long overall in verygood cond. It is marked "C.GHAENEL SUHL" & then on the top it has a "crown w 12" on it. On the same sid there looks like it has saw teeth ??? on it. What country, worth etc. is this weapon ??

If it has saw teeth it is probably some sort of German sawback bayonet which can be worth quite a bit. Any way you could post a pic?

Most likely a 98/05. The W12 on the spine is the year it was made (1912) and the W is for Kaiser Bill. Fits the '98 Mauser Gewehr and was probably used during the First World War. Hope this helps. 0 -
