steyr pistols

has anyone bought 1 of the newer steyr pistols in 9mm or 40 sw? i understand this gun is supposed too give glock a run for there money.i have been watching them on gb and they sell for around $350,alot less than the glock.looking for opinions thanks in advance don

  I was curious if steyr was making anymore pistols, or if they have gone the way of the dodo. I would like to get another one, but I don't want to spend money on something I cannot get parts for or get fixed. Thanks, as always, for your replies.

  Roland I know they discontinued their Model M type pistols.I wanted one myself.Gun test done a review of them and the .357sig Model had alot of problems which the 9MM and .40 didnt.I dont think Steyr went out of business,as they are a large arms maker who have been around a long time.They are still several pistols floating around.But as for parts I would say they are limited to whats on hand.

  Yeah they are still making pistols. The M and S series in .40S&W and 9mm. The new James Bond movie Features it. The designer of this pistol use to work for Glock but left because Glock wouldn't incorporate his Safety ideas into a pistol. So this fellow went to work for Steyr and this new pistol features 3 different safeties.
