Browning Safari Mk II Question

I recently bought a used Browning BAR Mk II (7MM Mag). The spent casing all have a deep dent in the neck after they're ejected. Is this normal for this gun or is it a sign of some sort of problem?

  i dont know for sure if all Mk II's do that, but mine does in (also 7mm) and so does my G3 rifle. I think its often a characteristic of semi-autos.

  Thanks for the reply. Like you stated, I've noticed this with other semi-autos, I guess it's just more pronounced on the BAR.
