what is the difference between regular model 37 and steebilt
also what is steelbilt worth 20 ga good condition

  I believe there is no difference. Steelbilt was just a descriptive trade name Winchester used; kind of like Dodge Trucks are Ram Tough. These are truly excellent guns and delivered outstanding quality at what was then a moderate price. I own one in .410 and have access to one in 12ga. a neighbor/customer purchased at a yard sale for $35. I don't know why things like that never seem to happen to me.......but, I digress...unfortunately just saying something is in "good" condition doesn't cut it anymore; things are graded and valued by percentage of remaining finish. In 80% condition your shotgun would be worth $120-150 in most places. Still a great value. A less expensive version came along later called the 37A. The internal workings had been redesigned and it wasn't quite as nice a gun.

  Price-wise, it seems that 16 & 20 ga. Model 37's are usually the most reasonable, then come 12's, .410's and 28's, pretty much in that order.
  
  The so-called "Red Letter" version is really no fancier except that they have WINCHESTER stamped on the bottom of the frame in front of the triggerguard. These usually bring a higher price than the "regular" Model 37's.
  
  I've got a 37 in 16 ga. that my Dad bought new just after WWII for under $20!
