HOW DO I GET THE FRONT SIGHT OFF MY M1 CARBINE

I'v tried a crowbar, hammer, heating with a torch, but nothing seems to work......................................not ;>)

I assume you have taken out the pin. use a peice of brass or lead and lay across the sight and with a hammer drive it off.If it still want move soak it in Break Free for a couple of hours then try again.

Drive out the crosspin then from the top rear of the sight using a block of hardwood, brass or aluminum and a hammer, drive the sight forward. Make sure to locate the punch above the key or the sight
wont come off.
