Springfield Armory 1911 model(PX9608L)
Does anyone know anything about the manufactuer and the performace quality of the firearm compared to a genuine Colt .45

I have a series 70 Springfield 1911A1. My cousin has a Colt Gold Cup. When we go shooting together he almost always outshoots me.For a long time we both thought the guns were the difference until we started trading back and forth. It wasn't the gun, He's just a better shot than me, even when using my stock springfield. The Gold Cup is a beautiful gun, but we both agree that the price difference is not worth it. We have each said that in our opinions, save the cash difference and buy the springfield. Don't get me wrong, I don't doubt for a minute that the Colt is a better gun, I just don't feel it's worth the extra money. I do however think the Kimber is an excellent gun far supperior to either. I'm also a big fan of Para-Ord. I personally feel a little more money is best spent on the Para rather than the other choices. Notice I said a little, I guess thats relative to what your considering spending on the Springfield. I don't think you'll be disapointed with any of them if you bear in mind the cost difference. Try going to a shop and look at the differences and decide if you think paying more gives you more. Best of luck, BZ 0
