Remington 870
Do they or don't they (remignton that is) make an 870 with a 7-shot magazine as opposed to the ubiquitous 6 shot I see everywhere? I seem to recall seeing one in Shotgun News but I haven't been able to find one on GB. If so, where can I get one?

After I take a shot my next round 80% of the time will not load into the chamber, I have a B Square side mount for my scope, can it be that the receiver is being distorted enough to cause this malfunction??? Thanks for any suggestions. 0 -
Villamaster: did the shotgun have this type of problem before you put on the scope mount? some times people tighten the screws up to much which pinch the sides of the receiver in , I would try, loosening the screws a little at a time and see if it quits jaming, if that doesn't help then I would take it to a good gunsmith.. goodluck 0 -
villamaster, It is possible .I agree with gskyhawk, but take the mount all the way off. I have repaird 100's of 870's most of the time it is one of the shell latches need adjusting. In that case take it to a 'smith 0 -
Thanks for the advise, removed the scope mount, fired it several times , still having the same problem, if you don't have a death grip on forearm holding it forward it comes back to fast to catch the next shell to be chambered, when you pump it again it catches the shell with no problem??? This gun has done it since it came out of the box, I kept thinking I was doing something wrong??? 0 -
if its been doing this since day one I would take it back to the dealer and see if they would fix it , if you get no help from them then off to a good smith or back to the factory .

I agree. Take it back to the dealer or send it back to the factory. It sounds like something was wrong with it from the get-go, and it isn't worth it to only be able to shoot once! Does the round not exit the magazine tube or does it catch on the carrier?
I used to have a shotshell carrier on my 870. Tacstar warns that tightening those screws too much can cause your action not to cycle, but that couldn't be the problem if it is unrelated to your mount.

Hello, make sure the forearm nut is tight on the forearm, this could cause this problem.
