    I will whole heartedly second that.

    The ones that are worth the money are the Long Range 30mm models and the MK IV. The standard versions are overpriced when compared to Burris, and the optics as well as warranty with Burris are just as good.

    Well I have never owned a Burris scope. I have had the same Leupold scope for 17 years, a vari 2 3x9,and it has been through hunting hell. Been in rain , snow, dropped and beat to death on 4 wheelers. Taken off rifle to put on shotgun and it still has a clear sight in early morning and at late dusk and has always kept it point of impact where it started at. Paid $150 for it then and recently $180 for one for the 30-30.I have heard several people brag about Burris, and again I admit I have never had one but for me I will stick to Leupold.Definitely one of the best investments I ever made.     I have two loops, vx3 4.5x14 and vx3 3x9x50 Both very nice.
    I have a B&L Elite 4200 which is very good for the money.
    I think "Rainguard" is just wax
    I just bought a Burris Fulfield II 3x9x40. It is nice but the one thing I don't like about it is the fact that the whole eyepiece turns when you adjust the power. If you have flip up scope caps, this can be a real pain as the release position is always changing.

    Show me a Burris in 17 years . It won't have the same optic quality without bewing reworked.

    I strongly agree with gunone4, I had 7 burris-1 compact & 6 signatures. They were clear, but not any more then the 2 Leupolds I had, or the one Bushnell Elite. I had a "problem" with warranty on one Burris, & the crap I got from Burris, wasn't worth it. I sold 2, gave 3 away, & gave the 4 X 16 in question FREE to a person in this forum. Replaced them all with Leupold, & have no regrets- excellent scope. As soon as I get some more $$$, I intend to get rid of my 6 X 24, & 4 X 12 compact on my 22. I'll never own another Burris product. Customer Satisfaction means a lot.

    Chestsprings speaks the truth. I am the one that he litterly gave the Burris scope to. What he said that the Burris people did to this scope and refused to take responsibility for is also the the truth. Gene, I need your address so that I may send you some more Kringle. I am also interested in your 4 X 12 compact. Only this time, I would pay for it. E-mail me at wlenart@wi.rr.com.
