Wolf steelcase 9mm

Ammo 9mm Wolf 115gr FMJ 50-Rd Box, Berdan Primed Steel Case

Does anyone have any experience with this ammo? Are there any concerns in regard to the steel case? It's mighty inexpensive which makes me wary.

  I've shot a thousand rounds of this through my Ruger P-series guns with no problems. There seems to be extractor problems in guns that aren't built as well.

  I've used it without any problems. Most of it shot out of my 9mm Tokarov (sp?). A cheap gun deserves cheap ammo.
  
  Be aware though that the bullet is a very "long-nosed" design. I've found that in some guns (the Ruger P-series guns comes to mind) which are designed to feed hollow-points, the long nose causes the overall round's "length" to be excessive. There is too much friction in the magazine because the nose of the bullet and the rear of the case are "dragging" on the front and rear walls of the magazine. This can lead to feeding problems.
  
  Because of the "bullet length" issue, I prefer Seller & Belliot 9mm as a cheap plinking ammo. It's a little more expensive than the Wolf, but the bullet has a "flatter" round nose and doesn't "bind" in high capacity magazines designed with shorter hollow-point bullets in mind. The S&B is also brass cased; some claim the steel case will wear out a gun faster than brass cases--though I don't know if anyone has done "scientific" testing which demonstrates this. The S&B, being brass, is also reloadable--if you reload, which I don't.

  Both my Taurus Pt-92 and Browning Hi-power function 100 percent with the Wolf ammo. The accuracy is nothing to write home about, but its cheaps so its not meant to be target grade.

  I have shot a bunch of it out of my Smith and Wesson CS-9 with no problems at all. Decent stuff for the price.
  
  Taxation WITH representation isn't so hot, either!
