Rimfire question??
Should the fireing pin on a rimfire hit the rim of the caseing in the same place each time?

Yes, the firing pin of a rimfire should strike the case rim in the same spot each time. If not there most likely is a internal problem with the gun. 0 -
rugster, Toujours Pret. 2nd. armored cav.? If so I served with the 2nd.A.C.R. in the Gulf. The awnser to your question is not allways. Dose it move side to side, or up and down ? Some rimfire firing pins fit loosly with no return spring the pin will strike in different places. It sould't move verry far. If it dose your extractor may be letting the case move each shot. That needs to be corrected or could lead to bad ejection. 0 -
