How is resale value on this rifle?
I see a bunch on the auction side but no bids on any of them.

When gun is on safe the bolt can open with out you knowing it has opened. Is there a way to change this.I hate when I pull up to shoot and lose the shot because the bolt open. Thanks for any replies

I do not know of a way to change it, but have never had the bolt open unwanted on mine.

dont know if you know this or applies to your rifle but there is a recall on the bolt for the older ones... i dont remeber the web site but sombody here may know the check your ser num to see if it is included in recall
this recall doesnt apply to what you are talking about though
i got a smith and wesson mod 1500 aka howa that is involved with this recall but havent sent the bolt in yet.

You'll find this a problem with any rifle that doesn't lock the bolt when the safety is on. It's currently considered a safety feature to be able to open the bolt and unload the chamber with the safety on. I feel better to know the bolt is locked closed on a chambered round instead of having the bolt slide open and drop the round leaving you unready for a shot until you close the bolt.
