will a stock off a savage 111 long action fit a 110 long action

  Have a 10 or 12 year old .223. Ordered and am being shipped a Bell and Carlson stock. Just noticed that it is for a 'heavy barrel'. My Savage does not have a heavy barrel. Will this stock work for me or did I screw up? Thanks for your input.....
