Fair price for old German guns info update
Checking as to what a fair price would be for the following. I didn't give enough information the first post.
1. Nazi P38 has real nice bluing atleast 90% or more markings on gun seriel (#4150, cyq, v by the seriel # on the slide and frame, some funny lines and the #88 under them, the eagle with the swastika stamped on the slide, another stamp on the slide close to the eagle swastica I can't tell what it is. A large B and small e "Be" on the barrel.
2. The 16 gauge drilling in excellent condition. Engraved "Peter Helbig BUCHSENNACHER BERLIN" also other engraved numbers #595 4.670 8.7mm and a z2,79g c.b.p. over st.m.g.
3. Stupid question #3 if someone buys them and they do not live in Oregon where I am what kind of cost are usually involved for licensed dealers to handle the paper work? Is there a way to get in touch with reliable dealers through this forum? Thanks for the help

The Spreewerke is the most poorly finished P38 manufactured in Germany during WWII. Tools marks should be visible just about everywhere, and the finish color should be close to black. A "real nice bluing" tells me that it has been refinished, and the 90% tells me it has been used quite a bit since then. I would expect it to sell in the $200-250 range.
If you sell them outside of your state, you can transfer them only to an FFL dealer or C&R holder. You can ship a handgun directly to the FFL/C&R by UPS or FEDEX Next Day Air ($30-50 charge); a long gun can be shipped by you using USPS (much cheaper). Check the Gunbroker seller rules for the relevant laws. (I assume that you can document that the drilling is > 50 years old for C&R purposes.)

Thanks Neal: I guess I wouldn't know bluing if it bit me, The gun has not been refinshed. I was assured that by the "reputable dealer" that is an old German "WWII vintage" himself that it was all original. It has very little wear and now that you mention it is more black than blue. You didn't indicate anything about my drilling do you have an opinion on it? Thanks for you help. 0
