.22 Cal Automatic Ammo

I am trying to find a source for Ammo that will fit a Winchester Model 1903 .22 Automatic. The round was called a ".22 Auto" and is slightly larger in diameter than a normal .22 round. The length is about the same as a .22 short. Any ideas?

  I believe that you are out of luck. I am not aware of anyone making this special ammo. .22 short will not function in your rifle.

  The Winchester '03 was designed around the Win. Auto 22 cartridge. In that day and age, much of the .22 RF available was blackpowder. It would've gummed up the works of a semi-auto, so they made the rifle to handle a special smokeless powder round.
  
  If you like the '03 (and it is a sweetie), Taurus makes a modern copy that shoots regular .22 Long Rifle.
