have a freand that is willing to sell me a 22-270 with a 4by12 scope for $200.00 and i am going to buy it tommorow night am i making the wright choice by the time you answer this it might be to late thanks al

Shooter, Do you mean 22-250? It's hard to buy much of anything with a scope for $200.00. Probably a good deal unless it's a real OPS. 0 -
Even if he does mean 22-250 i'm thinking it's not that far from
.277 to .224 could be the worlds first 5000fps .22

there are some cat bird aka wildcat chamberings...which i am not very familar with...anything is possible, heard of one called 243 catbird which i think is the 270 win necked down to .243 with the shoulders blowout not 100% sure on this though. a guy here who i know had a catbird chambered
rifle while ago...if i remember right is was called 257 catbird??

I have rebarreled several rifles to 6mm-06. Wich is basically a
.240 weatherby, butwithout the rim. Never seen a 22-270, but it
would be awful close to the 5.6 x 63 Super Von Hoff Express, made

I have been hearing a rumor for the last month that Winchester is going to bring out a .22 WSM. The rumor says a 55 gr V-Max at 5500 fps. Do I believe it?, NO. If they do make it will I bye it?, Yes. Now all that and a $1.50 my get you a cup of coffee. I have gotten several reports from reliable people about it. Time will tell.

Time to set aside the funds. It's called the Winchester .223 WSSM and is a very short/very fat cartridge. I'm not sure of the ballistics but a longer barrel than what they have should be in order. There is a 22-06 that would be very similar to a 22-270. My smith makes one from time to time. 0 -
