635mm ?
I resently aquired a small german simi-auto about 1912 ventage. On the bolt is cal.635 mm. on the left side of the slide it says deutsche werke then a circle around a small L and a large S then werk-F.R.FURT.Can anyone tell me anything about this pice. Is 635mm the samething as 25cal ?? Thanks for any help

6.35mm is the same as .25acp caliber, Metric versus Caliber 0 -
What you have there is likely one of the numerous Baby Browning knock-offs, in .25ACP. What makes you think it is from 1912? 0 -
I believe that you have an Ortgies pistol, manufactured by Deutsche Werke. Production on these began in 1922. If you re-examine the pistol you'll probably find that F.R.FURT is actually ERFURT, the city where the pistol was made. 0 -
You are correct it is erfurt in better light. Also correct the right side of slide says ortgies patent. Thanks for the info. I was mainly concerned with the propper amo for the gun.Thanks again V. 0
