Safe to shoot, but you get what you pay for.

The worst thing I can say about the gun is that quite often a buyer really wants a Red Label or Citori... or the like. His wallet is a bit thin at the time and he convinces himself that the less expensive gun is just as good.

The problem comes a year later when that little voice in the back of his head has finally driven him crazy by telling him he really should have bought the Ruger or the Browning. Thats what they mean when they say "The truth hurts".

If he is looking for an inexpensive O/U he might look at the Baikal models. These are made in Russia and in my experience are very rugged and reliable.I believe the prices for the Condor and the Baikal are similar.I have both and I would choose the Baikal.I find the Baikal to be lighter and have a better swing to them. I have done a lot of bird hunting with the Baikal and really enjoy it. Of course the fit and finish are not comparable to Ruger or the others but you get a lot for your money with the Baikal.Hope this helps.

I have a 12 and a 20 and have been pleased with both. They use Mossberg 500 chokes that are easy to find. You can buy IGA chokes, but they cost more.
