It's what I use, but I use the Bench rest model 15" bag, It is very heavy when full, but it works great. Shoot off of any surface with it.

A great rifle with a junk scope,....is junk.

OK I'm looking at one in a catalog. It is made by Uncle Bud's and it is 15"long.Now i don't know very much about these but it says here that this one holds your gun like a vice.Do all Bull Bags do this and where is a good company to purchase one of these? Thanks.....Hunter

My handicapped son uses one just like you described. It works excellent and provides good support and some recoil reduction due to the gripping action of the wings. He has used it on 5 one shot deer kills.

Mobuck, that is damn fine shooting for anybody. And sounds like there is some good hunting going on too, if he consistently sets up for good enough shots to do it. How old is your boy? The last deer I tried to shoot is still running!

That is the one I use. uncle Bud's bulls bag. It does grip the rifle, only very slightly however. It just provides a stable rest that works very well. I also use a set of the rabbit ears under the rear, that setup yields a great platform.

Hughes Products Co. out of Thamasville, NC makes a bag called "Ballistic Shooting Bag". Essentially the same thing as theBull's bags but not as expensive. I used seed corn to fill it and it works great from the bench or the top of a pickup! If you use a lighter filler,(rice, wheat) it would be lighter but still would hold the gun ok and be a little more portable. GHD
