    Sierra 155gr PALMA Match HPBT!!!!!!

It is what Palma uses at their 1000yd shoots.

BTW they shoot with Iron sights only.

Call sierra tell them you want their reload info on the 155gr. and they will send it to you.

I use 41.4gr of IMR 4064 at 2.81"oal with 168gr sierras I've never had trouble hitting at 1000 meters.

You are what you eat? I guess I'm a beaver!

Trajectory and winddrift are all part of the game. If you want a load that drifts less, go to a 173gr match load. You may need to find different powders and loads for shots beyond 500-600yds anyway. Most guys I know, use different loads for 500 and less and then 500+. The longer and heavier bullets will hold better trajectories at the long ranges due to their higher BC. After a certain point, the lighter bullets will drift and drop more than the heavy loads. It's all about retained energy, and the lighter bullets don't have enough. Get a balistics program and plug in your velocity and BC, and let it tell you your drift and drop out to 1000yds, then all you do is count your clicks. I still wouldn't go below the 168gr, and would probably use the 173gr for 1000yd. just my .02

    check these bullets

cwinn, sierra uses 155, 168,175, 180, 190, 200, and 220gr BTHP Match bullets. This is to make use of all twist rates. This is also due to the fact that many competion shooters will use different weights at different distances. Some bullets stabilize and group better at different ranges than other bullets.

Leupold, speer and other companies sell balistic software that you load on your comp. and then just input your info to get a balistics chart. I will re-post once I find the address for one I found that is incredible. It is so concise, it asks for elevation from sea level, relative humidity, bullet BC, and other factors. It will however give your table in inches, moa, and other measurements. i'll find it and post it later.

    I'm a man,....but I can change,.....If I have to,......I guess.

cwinn,.....http://internet.cybermesa.com/~jbm/ballistics/traj/traj.html use that link, and let me know if it doesn't work. That balistics program will put you anywhere you need to be.
